Mary Mary's New Album "The Sound" FIRE!!!!!

Ya'll this new CD by Mary Mary is complete & total FIRE!! It combines uplifting, encouraging, spiritual, true lyrics, tangled up with hot beats and features anointed guest appearances from some of today's hottest Gospel artists. I anticipated the arrival of their new album ever since I heard "Get Up" at this year's AIM in Detroit. Ya'll they smashed it at the concert and I just knew this album was going to be one that would be burning a hole in my CD player... and it is! Of course I have it on my mp3 player as well (yeah don't have an iPod)!

Okay so let me give you a run down on some of my fave tracks:

"I Worship You" is a song that I absolutely adore because I am a worshiper and love being in God's presence. It is a simple song but packs a powerful message. LOVE IT!!

"Seattle" at first I was wondering what in the world?!?! But after listening to the whole song and the lyrics "Holy Spirit rain like Seattle" which are very clever, I got it! It's a song about being renewed, restored, and letting God come in to make you over.

"Superfriend" this song has that southern style that makes you want to blast while riding in your car. It features David Banner and let me tell you I like this song a whole lot. I really enjoy David's rap because you can tell he was really sincere with it. It just reminds you that just because someone is doing secular music in whatever form doesn't mean they're the devil... LOL! Seriously, we all fall short and do things that makes us unworthy of God's love but he yet loves us and that's why he's our "Superfriend".

Look take my word and go get their album... DON'T DOWNLOAD IT (unless it's legal)!! You will not be disappointed :)

A Darn Shame!

Read article:

A man told today how he was shot three times in a London street for wearing a Barack Obama T-shirt. Dube Egwuatu was buying a mobile telephone top-up card in an off-licence when the gunman confronted him and glared at the top, which carries an image of the Democrat US presidential candidate underneath the legend 'Believe'. The man then launched into a tirade of racist slurs, shouting 'I f***ing hate n*****s' and urging 36-year-old Mr Egwuatu to leave the shop with him.

The man then left the shop but when Mr Egwuatu re-emerged, the attacker was waiting for him in broad daylight with a threatening-looking dog and holding a gun behind his back.

Realising what had sparked the increasingly violent assault, the terrified Mr Egwuatu zipped up his jacket to cover the image of Mr Obama and walked to his car.

But the shaven-headed man, who was white, followed Mr Egwuatu and after pulling open the passenger door pointed the gun at him.

After pleading with the man to leave him alone, the married former street warden put the keys in the ignition and turned the engine on.

The attacker then fired the gas-powered ball-bearing pistol three times, hitting the civil servant in the face, hand and shoulder.

Fearing for his life and bleeding heavily, Mr Egwuatu raced away in his car and found somewhere safe to call for help.

He was taken to hospital and later sent to have a piece of metal removed from his jaw.
Mr Egwuatu, a data analyst with Croydon Council, said: 'The venom in his voice was frightening.
'He was telling me that he was going to kill me.

'I couldn't believe it was happening - and just because I was wearing an Obama T-shirt. He was trying to make me walk somewhere quieter, saying: 'I've got something for you,' and 'I'm going to kill you.'

He added: 'Obama inspires me, his educational track record alone is quite unbelievable - that is why I was wearing the T-shirt. I did not think for one minute it could stir up such powerful feelings of hatred and I never said a word to him.'

Mr Egwuatu's wife, Angela, 35, said neither of them had experienced anything like it during their childhood in Nigeria.

Mrs Egwuatu, an immigration officer, said: 'At first my feelings were pure horror and now it is pure anger.

'If he had been carrying a real gun I would have been a widow. It is just ridiculous. I don't know how a person's mentality works. Why would a T-shirt get you to the point where you want to shoot someone.'

To the untrained eye, ball-bearing guns like the one used in the attack look every bit like a real firearm.

The potentially lethal weapons are often converted by criminals to fire real bullets, and can be bought easily in high-street shops and on websites.

The Met said it was investigating the incident, which took place in South Norwood, and that police searched a nearby house which the attacker was seen going into.

No one has been arrested.

Holy Hook-Up... Huh??

Okay I'm not sure if any of you have heard that Bishop Thomas Weeks, III (Juanita Bynum's ex-husband) is looking for a wife. But get this... he's going to do a dating show to find Mrs. Right (or wrong)! What the mess!! Ya'll are times that hard for single people now? I'm single but I am not willing to go on a dating show nor pull any of these crazy shenanigans that you see on Flavor of Love, Rock of Love or I Love New York... it's bananas! Anyway back to Bishop Weeks... the whole concept is for him to counsel four couples (4 men & 4 women) and make sure they're actually prepared to marry one another, all the while trying to find his one and only. Oh and it gets better *smile* The 4 couples, the selected ladies, and Bishop Weeks will live together in one place (men in one quarters and women in the other), while conducting the series over the course of three months. Now for the finale- there will be a wedding at the end of this! Lord have mercy!!! Shouldn't he be concerned with counseling lost souls, running his church or better yet taking time to get to know himself better before trying to choose another wife??? Not to mention he already has two failed marriages. This is so messed up and Janky that I really don't know what else to say. Please post your comments!

VP Debate... 2 Winners???

So I just finished watching the debate between Biden and Palin. It was interesting nonetheless but I have to say that Palin didn't impress me at all. It seemed as though every question that was asked of her, she managed to talk about something else without answering the question at hand. What was up with her constantly talking about taxes? LOL! I guess her camp told her to just provide some sort of an answer, especially after that Katie Couric interview. And what about the Energy plan she also referred to? "Drill baby drill!" Ummm... is anyone else worried this will only add to the concern on global warming? I also didn't like how she tried to make Biden look… well dumb. I don't think that was a good thing for her to do. Not only did Biden answer every question but did his best to articulate the plans he and Obama prepare to put into action once elected (wink). Besides who wants to vote for a party whose VP candidate doesn't have any real plan of her own that can help better our nation. She even said herself, "In these past 5 weeks I haven't [really] made any promises to the people." Obama, however, does have plans to better the economy, our education system and the health insurance crisis. That is who I support and want to be president. Wouldn't you?

"If we think that we can secure our country by just talking tough without acting tough and smart, then we will misunderstand this moment and miss its opportunities. If we think that we can use the same partisan playbook where we just challenge our opponent's patriotism to win an election, then the American people will lose. The times are too serious for this kind of politics."
